Random Oubliette

I met some of you awesome people (Jeff and Jay) at the Little Rock Comic Con so I thought I'd start a page and drop in and be social. I'm von, short for Lavonia. I work as an illustrator doing whatever work falls into my lap.  My character works and manga probably gets the most attention.  My personal style is sort of a combination of Eastern and Western comics, Post-Impressionism, and Ukiyo-e.  

I am from the South, and seem to bounce between Memphis, Northeastern Mississippi, and Northwestern Alabama.  :) So I'm usually around working in one of those places.   I graduated from UNA in Alabama with an art degree.  It makes a nice desk ornament.

I doubt I'll update very often because I have so much to manage with my site and sketchblog already. Looking over this, I realize I have an obsenely large amount of websites.  I'll try to keep it simple.  To get in touch with me:

MLP Collector <- My Little Ponies/80s toys.  That's mostly of the collectibles that I do now.   I'm not really actively collecting now, but I have a lot of weird knowledge about fantasy toys from the 80s (girls).  I know absolutely zilch about Barbie, but everything else is fair game.
